IPC has more than 60 iconic media brands to its name and creates contents for a wide range of things, which are: Multiple platforms, across print, online, Mobile, Tablets and events. It engages with 26 million UK adults- almost 2/3 of Uk woman and over 40% of UK men. Their winning portfolio of websites reaches over 25million global users everyday.

It provides a wide range of magazines rangeing from music and young men, to pursuits & equestrain. Some examples are:

• Country life (Prsuits & equestrian section)
• NME ( Young men and music section)

The most successful megazines that IPC media produces is, NME, Now and Soaplife. These are most successful magazines because these are the ones common anf familiar magazines out of the wide range of magazines that IPC produce.

NME magazine that IPC media produce

A music magazine that IPC produce is NME magazine. NME stands for New Musical Express. NME have a range off thiungs other than just the magazine, they have a website NME.com, NME video, NME radio, they alsohave live events awards. Nme reaches over 1.1 million music fans every week. It is the lkongest published and most respected music weekly magazine in the world. Every week it givers it's readers the most exciting, most authoritative coverage of the very best in  new music, Which including award-winning features, the latest releases, live reviews, the definitive guide to the best new bands in its radar section, as well as a regular look back through the magazines incredible 60 years herritage. It's audience is 16-24 year olds.

Double page feature analysis

I used photoshop too edit the main photo which i used on the front cover i cut out all off the background off the image so that it would blend in with the black background which i was going for, i lightened up the contrstand made the feature look more bold. I dne this too the lips more so that that purple would stand out too link in the with colours scheme off the magazine. This also helps too draw the readers attention too the main image on the front cover.

I came up with the name 'Sound' for my music magazine because i thought that it linked well with the genre being a music magazine. I decided to use the colours white and deep purple for the colour of the name of the magazine with the 'S' being in the dark purple and the four other letters 'ound' being in white. I thought these colours worked well since the background of the magazine is black. Across the top off the page above the Name of the magazine is a page reference too a page in the magazine for free downloads. The colours used for them is also the same colours used for the name of the magazine. Underneath the name of the magazine there is a strap line in white it says UK's best selling music magazine...' i used this so that it makes the magazine look more professional and so it bigs up the magazine by saying the 'UK's best'. The main image i used on the front cover of the music magazine was edited on photoshop to make the surrounding go black too match the background colour. I decided too use this image for the front cover because i though that it looked best to go on the front cover of a music magazine more than any of the other photos which i had for the magazine. I thought that the photo was a bold photo to use for a front cover and the colour of the girls lips link in the the 'S' in the name of the magazine to make it look more professional and i also thought that it would look good, So when you read the name of the magazine the colour of the 'S' could therefore link you too look at the  lips of the girl, which then would make you notice the main image. Beside the main image on the magazine and just below the name of the magazine i then added an image of the union jack, in a circle shape this has the words 'The 50 best british albums voted by you', the circle shape of the union jack links in with the how it's about albums as it's a CD shape. The reason i chose the union jack flag too use instead of any other thing else was because it links with the strap-line by the use of the Uk, also how in the circle it has the word British so i though that it would link well with that as well. Below that i have the name of the girl in the photo 'Kelly' this is in the colour red. This word is the second biggest on the front cover. I used that so that it would draw people in since it's a photo of her on the front cover so it links in with that.

Photo's taken too use in the magazine

I took all of the photos myself. The Mcfly ones where taken last year when i saw them live.  The photograph of the girl i used on my front cover of my music magazine was taken in her house. The three other photos of the other girl where taken in heres i took them because i never new whether to use her or the other girl so i took these photos to decide which photo looked better and i decided too use the one i used because i though it looked more music magazine like for the genre i was going too do for the magazine.

What have i learnt from this whole process?    From this whole process i have learnt how too change the brightness, contrast and other effects like that on the main photo i was using on photoshop, before i added it into the publisher document for the main image off the magazine. I am happy with my designs i have made but not as happy with the photo because i would off preferred too be able too edit it more but i couldn't because i don't know how too use phototshop that well. Another thing i have learnt is how too make a magazine for a college/school and what kind off language that is used throughout the whole magazine.

These are my flat plans off the front cover off the college magazine and the contents page of the magazine. I did this on publisher, i did this so i knew where everything was going too go before i designed the actual one.

In a college or school magazine there might be things about stuff that's upcoming in the college or magaizne such as upcoming trip, or just anythingt hat's going too be going on in the college or school. Another thing that may be in the magazine is if any off the years have went on trips too anywhere there will normally be abit off information about where they went, what they did and maybe some photos aswell too go along with the article. There may be achivements off pupils/students in the college or school magazine. Anther thing might be about the sporting teams and how they are doing in there games, leagues or if they've won anything or played anywhere for any trophies recently.The language used in the magazine should suit the audience they have decided too target. The launguage should be suitable for the students reading the magazine.

This is the mock page off the contents page in the college magazine. This was also produced with publisher too. I changed the background to a grey colour and added too blue lines across the top too make it look more professional and different too any other magazine. Also by making it blue and grey it links too the front cover with the colours. Along the bottom off the page i added the college website for advertising purpose's. I added a brief little sentence drawing the reader's in by saying 'Hey reader's, Check out the amazing things in this weeks college magazine. This makes it more for the college audience because it's like your talking too them and by using the word 'Hey' you wouldn't expect too see that word used in an adults magazine because students use it more.

This is the mock page off a college magazine. Too produce this I used publisher, first i took a photograph off one of my friends doing some work so it would link into the college magazine. I then cropped and re-shaped it so it would fit onto the page and so it would be the correct size for the magaizine. I added a blue and grey border around the edges too make it look more professional and stand out, i then found the name off the college the magazine (bede) and this was blues, white and grey so it went well with the border off the magazine too. i added the word Readable so that the name off the magazine would then be Readable Bede. I added a smaller photo off the futureheads, advertising that there is a exclusive interview with them in the magazine this draws the reader into reading the magazine. I finally added the Sunderland college logo, too show that it's a Sunderland college.
